Bill Gray's restaurant makes the switch to GuestCall paging from HME Wireless—carries on family commitment to quality and service since 1938
In 1938, Bill Gray was a young man living in Rochester, NY, and working at Eastman-Kodak for 17¢ an hour. Looking to supplement his income to support a growing family, Bill and his wife, Alberta, started selling hot dogs and soda pop out of a small roadside stand.
Fast-forward 70+ years, and what was once a weekend enterprise is now a thriving, full-service family restaurant with 14 locations in the Rochester and Buffalo areas. Bill Gray's owes its success to a successful combination of great food, family fun and careful attention to service. But recently Dan Gray, President, found himself in a quandary, when some outdated pager technology resulted in some disappointed customers.
Never one to hesitate when it comes to keeping customers happy, Dan contacted HME Wireless, and today Bill Gray's is proud to rely on a new GuestCall wireless paging system.
"We've been switched over to the HME Wireless' restaurant paging system for several months now, and it's working flawlessly," said Dan. "We've had no more disappointed customers because of pager malfunction, and it's made my blood pressure drop by several points."
Bill Gray's touts itself as "great food and fun since 1938", but any restaurant owner will tell you – customers that have to wait idly in line or in crowded reception areas for too long, or even lose out on their table because of a malfunctioning pager... are not having fun. And that's not good for anybody's business.
HME Wireless' guest paging solutions for restaurants enable customers to relax and wander nearby, or have a drink at the bar, without worrying about losing their table. It's a win-win for guests and operators. Guests have a more satisfying experience, operators benefit from faster table turns, service is improved, and ultimately higher profitability.
The family, owners and staff of Bill Gray's are proud to carry on the entrepreneurial spirit of its original founders. And HME Wireless is proud to a part of that success.
"The fact that we could step in and have an immediate impact on their business is a great compliment to our technology and the commitment of our team to providing exceptional service" said Russ Ford Vice President of HME Wireless. "Taking a negative guest experience and turning it into a positive one is at the core of what HME Wireless' paging systems are all about."
