When Great American Restaurants was looking to establish a new dining concept in Fairfax Corner, Virginia, they found a good fit in the authentic experience of Ozzie’s Corner Italian. And when it was time to implement a total communications solution, they found an equally good fit in long-time partner, HME Wireless.
Ozzie’s Corner Italian opened for business with the GuestCall IQ customer paging system, along with HME’s Table Scout remote table status updaters and 2-way radios. Looking for operational efficiencies, the restaurant was drawn to GuestCall IQ’s unique automatic pager renumbering feature. That’s because Table Scout’s unique hand-held transmitter allows staff to navigate through the dining room and update table status instantly, in real-time. With Table Scout linked to its Hostess system, Ozzie’s staff won’t have to run back to the hostess station every time they want to update a table’s status — a task made all the more difficult by unexpected customer demands and distractions. Now the update happens immediately, so guests can be seated even faster.
“The Hostess system has us completely linked together, from the host station to the dining room to the kitchen,” said Colleen Sisk, talent development manager at Great American Restaurants. “Table Scout helps complete that picture, and will turn up our efficiency and service another notch.”
Sisk and the team of Great American Restaurants were also attracted to GuestCall IQ’s interchangeable advertising insert on the presentation side of its restaurant pagers. The business card-size insert can be updated with new promotions at any time without major expense or hassle.
